Located on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Alliance Custom Home Builders are premier builders specializing in superior quality home construction. After 20 years of working as an independent contractor in the Newburyport area, James Cook launched Alliance Custom Home Builders out of a desire to focus more closely on specialized custom design and collaborative projects, providing clients with the ultimate level of craftsmanship and service.

Jim's passion for construction was ignited early in his youth, where his first job working on a clean-up crew for a local builder inspired him to attend Whittier Vocational Tech. A motivated lad, he learned framing through a carpentry co-op program, maintained an after school job siding homes, expanding his skill sets and taking advantage of every opportunity to learn from masters. After graduation he joined a millwork shop where he built custom cabinetry for several years, focusing on custom finish work and installations as well as manufacturing.  Itching to get back in the field, Jim went on to became a project manager for a prominent Newburyport builder for the next ten years before founding Alliance Custom Home Builders.
